In the dynamic realm of Nigerian politics, the name Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi shines brilliantly as a symbol of unwavering public service. Born on November 5, 1980, in Plateau State, this extraordinary politician is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), representing the Pankshin/Kanam/Kanke federal constituency of Plateau State. His journey from a humble teacher to a dynamic representative is marked by remarkable achievements that have left an indelible mark on his community and the nation as a whole.

1. Pioneering Legislation:

Hon. Yusuf Gagdi has etched his name in the annals of Nigerian politics as a first-term federal lawmaker with an extraordinary record in the 9th National Assembly. He has successfully sponsored and received presidential assent for an impressive six self-sponsored bills. Notably, two of these bills are dedicated to the advancement of federal universities, underlining his commitment to elevating education in Nigeria. A seventh bill awaits presidential approval, highlighting his steadfast dedication to legislative progress.

2. A Teacher's Heart:

Before embarking on his political journey, Hon. Gagdi served as a dedicated teacher. His experiences in the classroom have undoubtedly shaped his commitment to education and his unwavering belief in its transformative power.

3. Infrastructural Marvel:

Hon. Gagdi's unwavering commitment to grassroots development is manifest in the significant investments he has made in his constituency. He has constructed an astounding 24 palaces and modern offices for traditional rulers and their secretaries, preserving the rich tapestry of culture and tradition within Plateau State. His investment in education is luminous through the construction of 28 state-of-the-art classroom blocks in 28 different locations across his federal constituency, providing children with conducive learning environments.

4. Healthcare Transformation:

In the healthcare sector, Hon. Gagdi has been an indefatigable advocate for better access to medical services. He has erected 14 modern primary healthcare units, ensuring that his constituents receive quality healthcare closer to home. This initiative has undoubtedly improved the overall well-being of his constituency.

5. Bolstering Security:

Hon. Gagdi recognizes that security is paramount to community prosperity. To this end, he has constructed three well-equipped police posts within his constituency, reinforcing law enforcement efforts and fostering a safer environment for his constituents.

6. Empowering the Youth:

Empowering the youth is the heart of Hon. Gagdi's agenda. He has established six town halls and skill acquisition centers, providing opportunities for skill development and community engagement. Additionally, he has provided 1618 motorcycles, 80 tricycles, and 118 cars, offering young people the means to achieve economic independence.

7. Infrastructure Enhancement:

The infrastructural landscape of Pankshin, Kanke, and Kanam has undergone a transformation under Hon. Gagdi's leadership. He has overseen the construction of 23 roads, including township roads, benefiting the entire community. Furthermore, the installation of 2100 units of solar street lights has illuminated the streets and enhanced security.

8. Educational Support:

Education remains a top priority for Hon. Gagdi. He has paid NECO, JAMB, and WAEC fees for all SS3 students in his constituency, amounting to an impressive N3324 million investment in the future of his constituents.

9. Compassion During Crisis:

During the trying times of the Coronavirus pandemic, Hon. Gagdi displayed unwavering compassion. He supported the less fortunate with approximately N36 million and distributed food items worth about N54 million to his constituents, ensuring that they did not bear the brunt of the crisis alone.

10. Chairman of AD HOC Committee:

In recognition of his commitment to transparency and accountability, Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi has been appointed as the Chairman of the AD HOC Committee to Investigate Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) on Personnel Recruitment, Employment Racketeering, and Gross Mismanagement of IPPIS. This appointment underscores his dedication to eradicating irregularities in the recruitment and management of personnel within the federal government.
